Job Description
 
  • The jobholder is a specialist responsible for delivery of translations (primarily from French to Arabic and vice versa), for group communications observing the highest professional standard
  • The jobholder helps deliver key translation projects that form an integral part of HSBC's corporate image


Skills Required
 
  • Strong French and Arabic verbal and written communication skills with excellent written translation skills in both directions between French and Arabic
  • Adequate knowledge of French culture and history, and ability to detect sensitivities in French language and cultural contexts
  • Good management skills with vendors
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn, demonstrating continued knowledge building by keeping track of developments within HSBC and global trends
  • Working computer knowledge of French input, Word and Excel
  • Flexibility to work shifts 24/7
